Victoria and Albert Museum

A world leader for art and design , I visited here as again many years since I had been here. The difference was immense, the entrance wasn't open like at the NHM and you could feel the quietness in here. I obviously attracts all kinds of people but certainly on my visit and the area  I walked around there were no young children running around very peaceful. People sat drawing

This glass decoration is in the  entrance to the  V &A  over the main desk. I am not sure but it looks like a piece of Chihuly Glass and is very striking .

One of several artist in the museum others were wandering around with their sketch books.

The monumental porcelain sculpture '399 Days' by contemporary British artist Rachel Kneebone

I never got further than the ground floor of the V&A there was so much here to look at , textiles, masks, armour, furniture and more. It was so quiet in here .There were a few artists working on drawings. I asked one lady if I might take her photograph but she declined  and carried on  with her drawings. The time I spent here was not enough and didn't give me  long enough to explore as I turned into a clock watcher. The textiles were amazing and woould have happily spent more time looking at them.

It was well lit  with large roof lights again and light coloured walls which help to reflect light into the building I  didn't see any young children here some art students but all older visitors. maybe it is too stuffy for the younger visitors
