Built in Brixham at Uphams Yard and launched in 1956 during a thunder storm
It was in quite bad repair when we visited in 2013 but has been renovated for the upcoming 400 year anniversary .

Built for the 1962 World Fair it had 2.4 million visitors that was nearly 20k people per day
